Part of our family was born and raised
in SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO. Puerto Ricans love these curious & fun little creatures due to their enchanting serenade in the evenings—a song that the male Coquí makes, that says: Ko-Kee...Ko-Kee! The Coquí is a large part of the culture on the Island and is both celebrated and expressed in numerous forms of art, literature and song. The Taíno Indians inhabiting Puerto Rico during the Christopher Columbus era, held them in high esteem, and incorporated their imagery into many
of their earthenware and hieroglyphs.
Our Cartoons are humorous & insightful, and cover a variety of topics on two of the Coquíes habitats—its native PUERTO RICO, and ALSO the HAWAIIAN Islands, where it's considered to some a spreading nuisance. |
